Hey there, fellow book lovers! Just turned the last page of The Ashwood Curse series' second book and, wow, it's a rollercoaster ride from where the first one ended!
Our main dudes, Gil and Cale, drop by Cale's mom, Amelie. She's the kind who still sees her fully grown son as her little boy - no wonder Cale decided to hit the road.
As we delve further into their tale, Gil gets this gut feeling that their monstrous issue might not be as settled as they initially thought. Yikes! The beast is stirring up some real midnight madness in their hometown.
In an unexpected plot twist, Gil seeks help from Amelie - he's got to protect Cale and maybe even put an end to that curse for good!
This unique spin on Beauty and the Beast concludes with a fairy-tale ending full of "mess with him and face the consequences" vibes and some steamy moments.
I was kinda of hoping for more info about Gil's dad earlier in the story. And honestly, how they shattered that curse was a complete surprise! But hey, it all makes for a thrilling read. Super excited to see Gil and Cale finally living life their way!
