Hey there, bookworms! Just finished the second book in the Wayward Lane series, B-Mine. It's a spicy and suspenseful tale about a rockstar and his bodyguard - yeah, you heard it right!
Our rockstar is Iain Holloway, a true playboy with an itch for adventure. He's got a knack for giving his security detail the slip and he's been receiving some creepy messages that have him on edge. He doesn't want to tell his security though because he hates feeling caged.
Enter Dawson, our hunky security lead for Wayward Lane, who's also juggling life as a single dad. He's all about keeping Iain safe and he's not too thrilled with Iain’s antics. They're like oil and water but that tension? It's more than just professional.
They've been at odds for years but things start to change when Iain’s panic brings out Dawson’s protective side. And before they know it, they're caught up in a forbidden workplace romance - just in time for Valentine’s Day!
The band is super supportive of their relationship which helps Iain realize this isn't just about blowing off steam. And when Iain’s stalker situation gets resolved (you'll never guess who it was!), Dawson shows him he's in it to win it.
I loved seeing how they blended Dawson’s family into Iain’s life in the end and their happily ever after was so sweet!
